Tonight we held our first WHS Xbox Xtreme LAN Tournament. Eleven Year 8 boys took part, helped by three sixth formers as well IT Technician Mr Wallwork, Mrs Pelling and Mr. Jones.
The event was a great success, with HALO 2 being the main attraction for most of the night. The racing game Forza and an Nintendo Wii were the other attractions at this launch event.
Please leave your thoughts about tonight in the comment section at the bottom of this message and come back soon to see some digital photos and videos of the games masters in action.

Welcome to the WHS Xtreme Games Club
At this new WHS afterschool club we will be playing computer games on networked games consoles such as the Xbox. These types of events are called LAN (Local Area Network) parties and eight games consoles can be networked together allowing up to sixteen players to compete in teams.
Our 1st Xbox Xtreme LAN tournament will be held on Wednesday 3 May 2007 in E6. It will be available to the first 12 Year 8 pupils who return their signed parent consent form to Mr. Jones, Head of IT.
All this has been made possible by Mrs S. Pelling, our community education manager, who is kindly allowing us to use her games console equipment for running this event.
Watch this space for some digital video and photos of the event.
